Certified translations for the UK

The UK has no sworn translators. The Home Office, universities and professional bodies accept certified translations, and we prepare them to their requirements, from Spanish, Catalan and any other language.

What a certified translation includes

  • A statement that it is an accurate translation of the original.
  • The date of the translation.
  • The translator’s full name and signature, and our contact details.

When you need one

  • UK visa applications (spouse, skilled worker, student…).
  • University applications and recognition of qualifications.
  • Registration with professional bodies, such as the GMC or the NMC.
  • Courts, solicitors and the Land Registry.

Certified or sworn?

A Spanish sworn translation meets these requirements too, but for the UK a certified translation is usually enough and costs less. If the receiving body asks for more, such as notarisation, tell us and we will arrange it.

How much does it cost?

Price per language for a one-page document (for example, a certificate with its apostille), translated into or from Spanish, VAT not included:

For example, a 750-word document from English into Spanish costs €75 + VAT.

Fingerprinting, channeler and apostille fees depend on the country and the service. We quote them together with the translation, so you see one total price before you order.
